![]() Note that the source audio needs to be at least as long as the chain to play it in full. On the Controls tab, select Chain Length (# of Slots) and First Slot for Time and Volume, respectively. Generic curves are pre-loaded, but you can draw, load or paste your own into the first 16 Time and Volume slots. Open the Gross Beat GUI from the Map tab. Use Gross Beat^16 in the same way as the native Gross Beat on a Mixer Insert. The number of chained slots as well as the starting (first) slot of the chain can be chosen freely for Time and Volume, allowing for 'polyrhythmic' chaining between the two. ![]() Gross Beat^16 is a small Patcher Effect preset that allows to automatically tie together up to 16 Time and 16 Volume slots, respectively, to yield chains of up to 16 bars each. Slots can be chained together and automated, but that usually takes some effort. ![]() The standard loop length of Gross Beat is 1 bar. The original Gross Beat^16 (with cumulative motion) was also kept available here for download, leaving a choice between cumulative and roll-over versions.
